Abstract

The subject of the study is female subjectivity, viewed through the prism of its socio-cultural stigma, as well as body language as a «conductor» of norms and regulations from patriarchal culture. The article pays attention to subjectivity as a category that reflects the uniqueness of a person who has not been identified with a woman for a long time. Stereotypical attitudes towards the feminine were and are a consequence of natural gender discrimination, leading to economic and political exploitation. Women’s subjectivity is defined in the context of a value-based attitude towards oneself as an individual with a system of choice, not necessarily marked by marriage or motherhood.
