Legal positions of the Сonstitutional Сourt of the Russian Federation on genetic history of the family and surrogacy
Abstract
This article is devoted to a general analysis of the legal positions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation on issues of the family genetic history and surrogacy. Genetic information about a person is a special type of personal data that requires a clear and effective legal regulation mechanism that would ensure the protection of such information from unlawful collection or use. The authors made conclusions regarding the current practice of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation in the noted area.
