Abstract

The article carries out a historical and philosophical reconstruction of the three stages of formation of the pragma-dialectical model of reasonableness as the basis of rationality, and identifies and explicates the dominant criteria of reasonableness at each stage. The specificity of each stage of reasonableness modelling – geometrical, anthropological and critical – is explained. Geometrical modelling of reasonableness is revealed in correlation with the classical type of rationality, characterised by the prevalence of formal criteria of reasonableness in the study of simple systems, anthropological modelling – in correlation with the non-classical type of rationality, characterised by the prevalence of criteria reflecting the value-purpose aspects in self-regulating systems. Critical modelling of reasonableness is revealed within the framework of post-non-classical rationality and synergetic methodology, which makes possible the synthesis of formal and anthropological criteria of reasonableness as applied to the conditions of self-developing systems.
