Process of migration of Belarusians on the territory of Karelia is traced (since pre-revolutionary times so far) and its reasons are opened. Different stages of increase in number of Belarusians in the Republic of Karelia are shown. Data on the number of the Belarusian population – the third largest ethnic group in the territory of Karelia, including according to population census of 2010 by municipal districts of the republic are provided. Participation of Belarusians in social and economic development of Karelia since construction of the Murmansk railroad (1914) till this period is reflected.
