Abstract

This article deals with revealing the conceptual foundations of project of phenomenological hermeneutics in philosophical works by H.-G. Gadamer. Attaining this goal allows to substantiate the role of Gadamer’s study of language in the formation of one of the most significant applications of contemporary phenomenology – phenomenological hermeneutics, which provides not only the clarification of connection between mind and language, but also the revelation of ontological status of language. Novelty of this work lies in the identification and system reconstruction of the key points of understanding of the phenomenon of language – positing of meaning, interpretation, intersubjectivity, dialogue – as conceptual matrix that defines the theoretical «frame» of phenomenological hermeneutics. Genetically linked to phenomenology of E. Husserl and M. Heidegger, Gadamer’s phenomenological hermeneutics, in its turn, becomes a heuristic model for analysis within history of philosophy and for systematization of phenomenological studies of language as one of the fundamental phenomena of human being.
