Influence of the ideas of I. Kant, I. Fichte and German romanticism on the formation of natural philosophy views of F. Schelling

Abstract

This article reveals the influence of the ideas of F. Schellingʼs predecessors – I. Kant and I. Fichte, as well as the German romantics on the formation of natural philosophy views of Schelling. He is creator of one of the grandiose and most influential concepts of the philosophy of nature in Western European thought of the 19th century. The main questions of all his natural philosophy becomes the question of how the spirit arises from nature, and the question of how nature develops, that it can be known by the human reason. It is shown that in answering the main questions of his natural philosophy, F. Schelling relies on the idea of Kant on internal expediency, and Fichteʼs thesis on the identity of the Self and the nonSelf, and the poetic understanding of nature presented in the doctrines of the german romantics.
